The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs announced extension of deadline to September 10, 2012 for receiving applicants for  a programme called "Study India Programme" (SIP) for overseas Indian youth.

            "Study India Programme"  is open to Diaspora youth in the age group of 18-26 years.  It is open to PIOs/OCIs from all over the world  (NRIs (Non-resident Indian are not eligible to apply). The short term course of 4 weeks  (September 25, 2012 to October 23, 2012) is to familiarize themselves with art, culture, history and social and economic  development  of India.
