Press Note: Case involving an Indian child, Indrashish Saha in New Jersey
  The Consulate General of India in New York has taken up with the US authorities the case relating to an Indian child, Indrashish Saha, who is currently in Children’s Specialised Hospital, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Prior to this, he had undergone treatment at Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey, for an injury sustained by him last month at his home. The Consulate General has been informed of the case filed in this regard by the New Jersey authorities, i.e. Division of Child Protection and Permanency in the Morristown County Court. Mr. Debashish Saha, the father of the child, has conveyed to the Consulate General his concern and that of his wife and other family members that the child has not yet been handed over to them. The Consulate General has requested the US Department of State (Office of Foreign Missions) in New York to have the concerns of the parents addressed. The Embassy of India in Washington D.C. has also taken up the matter with the US Department of State in Washington D.C. September 10, 2012
