Applications seeking information under the Right to Information Act 2005 may be sent to the Public Information Officer along with the prescribed fee in dollars equivalent to Indian Rs.10/- in the form of Money Order/Bank Draft/Certified Check in favor of the Consulate General of India, New York.
The application should be submitted to the Public Information Officer along with the documentary proof (like copy of personal particulars pages of the passport) evidencing that the applicant is a citizen of India.   It is also advised that the information requested pertain to this Consulate jurisdiction.
